Dennis J. Skayhan joined the Berks County District Attorney's Office in 1998. Prior to that he attended Widener Law School in Delaware. Dennis Skayhan served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988 through 1992. Dennis Skayhan was born and raised in New Jersey and is one of eleven children. He graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory High School in 1984, before proceeding to the University of Delaware for his undergraduate studies. He also graduated from Widener Law School - Delaware Campus.

Dennis currently serves as our First Assistant District Attorney responsible for supervising one criminal courtroom trial team, as well as carrying his own caseload of homicides and other serious crimes. In addition to this, his duties include assisting local police departments in the areas of murder investigations, and other major crimes including robberies, assaults, sex crimes and auto theft. Dennis is also the office liaison for the Berks County SERT (SWAT). Dennis also handles the appeal process of Right-to-Know requests.
