Starting Rate - $51,684
Post Probation - $58,932
After One Year of Service - $66,191
No experience is required. All new officers will attend our on-site paid training academy! We provide the education required for you to excel in your criminal justice career.

Qualified applicants who successfully complete the physical agility exam, will be required to pay a non-refundable $30.00 fee in order to attend the written examination. We will only accept a money order or cashier's check made payable to "Berks County Jail System"; personal checks/cash will not be accepted.
