STATE LAW REQUIRES ALL DOGS 3 MONTHS OF AGE OR OLDER TO BE LICENSED BY JANUARY 1ST OF EACH YEAR.
OWNERS OF NON-LICENSED DOGS CAN BE CITED WITH A MAXIMUM FINE OF $300 PER DOG PLUS COURT COSTS
"2024" Licenses will be available December 1, 2023
Reminder postcards will be mailed out 12/1/23 for annual dog license renewals.

Senior Citizen or Disability License Fees
(Resident must be 65 to purchase a Senior license)

Lifetime License Fees

Completed Lifetime Application & Permanent Verification Identification Form must be submitted to the Treasurer's office to purchase a lifetime license
Check or Money Order payable to Berks County Treasurer can be mailed to: Berks County Treasurer, 633 Court St., Reading, PA 19601.
Lifetime licenses can only be issued by the County Treasurer's Office and require pet to be microchipped.
