2023 Dog Licenses will be available December 1st 2022
Reminder postcards have been mailed for annual dog license renewals.
STATE LAW REQUIRES ALL DOGS OVER 3 MONTHS OF AGE TO BE LICENSED.
OWNERS OF UNLICENSED DOGS ARE SUBJECT TO FINES NOT TO EXCEED $300.
Fees
Regular Licenses Fee
- Male -- $8.50
- Neutered Male -- $6.50
- Female -- $8.50
- Spayed Female -- $6.50
Senior Citizen and/or Disability Licenses Fee
(Resident must be 65 to purchase a Senior license)
- Male -- $6.50
- Neutered Male -- $4.50
- Female -- $6.50
- Spayed Female -- $4.50
REGULAR AND SENIOR CITIZEN ANNUAL DOG LICENSES CAN NOW BE PURCHASED ONLINE AT:
Lifetime licenses can only be issued by the
County Treasurer's Office and require pet to be microchipped.
Lifetime License Fee
- Male -- $51.50
- Neutered Male -- $31.50
- Female -- $51.50
- Spayed Female -- $31.50
Senior Citizen and/or Disability Lifetime License Fee
(Resident must be 65 to purchase a Senior Lifetime License)
- Male -- $31.50
- Neutered Male -- $21.50
- Female -- $31.50
- Spayed Female -- $21.50
Completed Lifetime Application and Microchip form must be submitted to the Treasurer's office within 30 days of the Microchip certification form.
Check or Money Order payable to Berks County Treasurer can be mailed to
County of Berks, Attn: Treasurer Office, 633 Court St., Reading, PA 19601.
