NATURE OF INCIDENT
Child Pornography/Child Sexual Abuse Arrest
DEFENDANT: Antonio FIGUEROA-COLON (26 years of age)
Titusville, Florida
CHARGES: Sexual Abuse of Children – Dissemination of Child Pornography (F2)
Sexual Abuse of Children – Possession of Child Pornography (F2)
Criminal Use of a Communications Facility (F3)

DETAILS OF INCIDENT:
The Berks County Detective’s Office received a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (N.C.M.E.C.), involving Child Pornography file sharing utilizing the internet/web application ‘Facebook’.
The Berks County Detectives learned that an individual uploaded (9) digital files of suspected Child Pornography to a ‘Facebook’ account.
Detectives also determined that the I.P. address(s) utilized to upload these digital files of child pornography to the target ‘Facebook’ account were from a Comcast Cable Communications account which provided service to 412A Schuylkill Avenue, Reading, PA 19601. Through additional investigative efforts, it was determined that the defendant was also residing at this address.
Detectives served a search warrant at 412A Schuylkill Avenue, Reading City, Berks County, PA 19601. The defendant’s cellular telephone was seized pursuant to this search. The defendant was interviewed by members of the Berks County Detectives and admitted to utilizing his cellular telephone to possess and to file share in child pornography.
As a result of a forensic analysis conducted on the Defendant’s cellular telephone by the Berks County Forensic Services Unit, numerous digital images of child pornography were recovered from the defendant’s cellular telephone.
Prior to the completion of the forensic analysis of the defendant’s cellular telephone, it was discovered that he had relocated to the state of Florida.
On Thursday, June 1, 2023, the Defendant was charged with (2) counts of Sexual Abuse of Children related to the Dissemination and Possession of Child Pornography as well as (1) one count of Criminal Use of a Communications Facility.
On Monday, July 10, 2023, the Defendant returned from Florida and surrendered himself to the Berks County Detectives. The defendant was arraigned on these charges by Magisterial District Judge Alvin Robinson. His bail was set at $25,000. The Defendant was committed to the Berks County Jail System.
A Criminal Complaint is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
